Spring 1999. Camille is 15 and Sullivan, 19. They love each other deeply, but Sullivan wants to go to South America for a year and this drives Camille to despair. After a long summer of passion together, Sullivan leaves. The winter is long for Camille who spends her time waiting for his letters, letters that become increasingly infrequent, until she hears nothing more. After a suicide attempt, her parents beg her to turn the page.
2003, Camille works as a hostess to pay the rent on her small apartment and devotes the rest of her time to her studies in architecture. She meets a famous architect, Lorenz, who restores her self-confidence and, with whom, she falls in love.
2007. Camille and Lorenz form a strong couple. Camille is his assistant but she feels ready to establish her own agency soon. When Sullivan contacts her again after seven years, she feels confident and strong enough to meet him again. The brief reunion passes without any warmth between them. Camille’s life continues as before.
However, a few months later, Camille sees Sullivan again.
Once, twice… This is all it takes to rekindle their flame. They become lovers. Their love is as powerful as ever. Sullivan has no doubts: Camille is the woman of his life.
But Camille is not alone. She lives with a man whom she loves too, who makes her happy and whom she doesn’t want to lose. In spite of everything, Camille feels that this dual life is the only possibility, the only way she can be happy and fulfilled…
