The film follows the travel of vallenato musician Ignacio. After the traumatic death of his wife, a musician vows to never play his accursed accordion again, and embarks on one last journey. He is followed by Fermín, a young boy who wants to be his apprentice, in a journey to return his instrument to his original owner, the man who once was his mentor.
