Razor Film

Razor Film was founded in 2002 by Gerhard Meixner and Roman Paul and produces national and international feature films from arthouse to crossover, focusing on new talent and high quality. In recent years Razor has also focused more on television series with the German productions of Gods Are Us and Der Usedom Krimi. Up to now Razor’s productions won two Golden Globes, were nominated twice for an Academy Award and premiered and were awarded at major festivals worldwide. Razor Film’s production credits include the first Saudi Arabian feature Wadjda by Haifaa Al Mansour, Waltz With Bashir by Ari Folman, Looking For Oum Kulthum by Shirin Neshat and most recently The Perfect Candidate by Haifaa Al Mansour and Quo Vadis, Aida? by Jasmila Žbanić.

Roman Paul and Gerhard Meixner received the Bernd Eichinger Award for Outstanding Achievements in Production at the German Film Awards 2014.
