Born in Vienna. Studied philosophy and comparative literature at the University of Vienna. During her studies she worked as a research assistant at the Filmarchiv Austria, the central location for film collections and film documentation today in Austria. After graduating from university, she worked as an assistant director and casting co-ordinator on Peter Brunner´s (student under Michael Haneke at the Vienna Film Academy) feature film “My Blind Heart”. Then she completed several screenwriting programs in New York City. After an internship at the department for International Co-Production & Documentaries at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG in Munich she worked as a freelance editor for the production company Süddeutsche TV GmbH. Has since been working as programming & acquisitions executive at the German pay TV channel PLANET, which features documentaries with factual content involving culture, traveling, nature, history and science. Participant of the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris, a one-year training programme for budding European film producers. Since October 2017 Creative Producer at Razor Film.
Razor Film was founded in 2002 by Gerhard Meixner and Roman Paul and produces national and international feature films from arthouse to crossover, focusing on new talent and high quality. In recent years Razor has also focused more on television series with the German productions of Gods Are Us and Der Usedom Krimi. Up to now Razor’s productions won two Golden Globes, were nominated three times for an Academy Award and premiered and were awarded at major festivals worldwide. Razor Film’s production credits include the first Saudi Arabian feature Wadjda by Haifaa Al Mansour, Waltz With Bashir by Ari Folman, Looking For Oum Kulthum by Shirin Neshat and most recently The Perfect Candidate by Haifaa Al Mansour and Quo Vadis, Aida? by Jasmila Žbanić.
Razor Film have won two Golden Globes so far, have been nominated three times for an Oscar and have premiered at major A-Festivals. Roman Paul and Gerhard Meixner received the Bernd Eichinger Award for Outstanding Achievements in Production at the German Film Awards 2014.
In 2021 Razor Film founded a new creative alliance with eight other independent production companies called “The Creatives”, to jointly develop a slate of high-end drama series and feature films.
